White Dog insisted on going out to see for herself when Steve returned from the grocery yesterday and announced that "Pumpkin has sickies." The troubleshoot light had come on in Pumpkin, our WDA van.

Steve was able to get a very early dropoff time at the dealer for today. The White Dog Army, always worried when one of us "disappears" while sick were very restless until Steve returned...and then upset when they realized he had returned by Lyft...and the Pumpkin had been left behind at the car doctor.

It did not help that Steve was fretting about the potential for a costly repair or need to order parts that would keep us without Pumpkin and that we would not have any information until mid afternoon at the earliest. "I hope Pumpkin will be all right," said Pearl who actually hates car rides.

"I did not even know she was not feeling well," WD worried. "But dad showed me the warning light."

The tech called Steve to summarize the problem just after lunch. She needed a new fuel injector, new spark plugs, and a cleaning of the entire fuel system. Steve was relieved that it was not something "major." The WDA was thrilled their carriage would return at the end of the day better for her trip to the mechanic.

Pearl, Bailey and Zso kept watch when Steve left by driver to fetch our vehicle. Pumpkin was greeted with a wild White Dog Army song of welcome home.

Of course, White Dog went out to check the repairs herself. The rest of the Army, congregated at the windows and door, howled in delight at her paws up sign.
